Flow Chart

Steps for submitting your paper to the virtual symposium until your paper is published:

  • Check the available topics for our symposium: Events and Topics
  • Choose the publication output between Proceedings and Journals. For more details, please click this information: Publication Outputs
  • Prepare your manuscript using the general template available at [link].
  • Register through the online submission system at [link] by following the submission guideline [link]. If you can’t register or upload your document, please contact us via email at jessd@ui.ac.id and cc symposium.jessd@gmail.com. We will assist you promptly.
  • You will receive a notification in your email confirming your submission and providing guidelines for revising your paper. This means you are successfully registered as a participant, and your paper is under review. The review process takes 1 to 7 days after submission, and you must revise and resubmit the manuscript within 3-7 days. The entire submission and review process is managed through [Morressier Submission System], but communication with the committee is done via email. Please check your email regularly during this process.
  • We will notify you whether your paper is accepted or declined.
  • If your paper is declined, it may be because your paper topic doesn’t align with the chosen publication output. In this case, we may suggest changing the publication output. Alternatively, the reviewers might reject your paper due to issues such as plagiarism, poor manuscript preparation, or irrelevance to the symposium topics.
  • If your paper is accepted, we will send you a Letter of Acceptance for presenting the paper along with the symposium fee invoice. This fee is separate from the publication fee.
  • Prepare and submit your presentation material within 3-7 days. The presentation format and guidelines can be found here: Guideline Virtual Presentations.
  • Proceed with the payment and email us the proof of payment. Use the email subject: “Proof of Payments – Presenter Name – Manuscript ID”.
  • A maximum of 3 days before the symposium, you will receive the Zoom invitation link, the event rundown, and the program book. Please pay attention to your serial number and the approximate time of your presentation.
  • You may receive feedback from the audience regarding your research. You are allowed to make improvements to your manuscript. You will have 3 days to finalize and resubmit your manuscript before final submission.
  • The final manuscript will undergo proofreading and a galley proof will be sent to you via email. You are requested to respond within 3 days after receiving the galley proof. We will keep you updated throughout the process until your paper is successfully submitted.
  • If the paper is accepted by the publication output publisher, you will receive a Letter of Acceptance for Publication and the publication fee invoice. The invoice will be sent to your email after the manuscript is published.
  • If the paper is rejected by the publication output publisher, it is beyond our responsibility. The JESSD Symposium functions as a hub between authors and the publisher.
